Stress is more than a mental experience—it has measurable effects on nearly every system in the body. This educational session explores the science of stress and how it influences the nervous system, hormones, digestion, immune function, sleep, and emotional regulation. Participants will gain a clear understanding of why common stress-related symptoms occur, such as fatigue, tension, irritability, brain fog, and overwhelm.
This class introduces the body’s stress response and explains how chronic stress can keep the nervous system stuck in survival mode. Along the way, participants will be given simple, practical strategies to begin regulating the stress response and supporting nervous system balance in everyday life. The session is designed to increase awareness, normalize stress responses, and lay the foundation for building long-term resilience.
This class stands alone, but also serves as the scientific groundwork for the follow-up session, Breaking Toxic Cycles, offered two weeks later.
